Terms of Service
These terms cover how estimates, deposits, and custom orders work with American Comfort Masters. By using this site or placing an order, you agree to them. We have kept them in plain language on purpose.
Last updated: June 2026
Estimates are estimates
The prices shown on this site and in your cart are estimates based on the configuration and dimensions you enter. They are not binding on either of us until we confirm your project with an on-site measurement. After measurement we give you a final, confirmed price — if it differs from your estimate, you decide whether to proceed before anything is built.
Deposits
A 10% deposit reserves your build slot and is applied in full to your final confirmed price. It is not an extra fee — it is the first part of your payment. How and when a deposit can be refunded is covered in our Refund & Cancellation policy.
Custom, built-to-order products
Every awning and screen we sell is fabricated to your measurements and configuration. Nothing sits on a shelf. That is what makes the fit right — and it also means that once production begins, your order is being built for your home specifically. The refund policy explains what that means for cancellations.
Installation and scheduling
After measurement and final confirmation, we schedule fabrication and installation with you. Scheduling dates are good-faith commitments, not guarantees — fabrication lead times, weather, and site conditions can move them. If a date needs to change, we will tell you as early as we can and agree on a new one with you.
Working together at your home
Measurement and installation happen at your home, so a successful project is a small partnership. We ask three things of you:
- Clear access to the work area. Please have the patio, deck, or opening we're working on reachable and reasonably clear on measurement and installation days.
- Power for motorized installs. Motorized awnings and screens need household power at the installation site — have an outlet or circuit available so we can wire and test the unit.
- Accurate site conditions. Tell us what you know about the mounting surface and the space — anything we discover on site that differs from what was described can change the scope or the schedule, and we'll talk it through with you before proceeding.
If you need to reschedule, tell us as early as you can — we'll work out a new date with you and confirm it in writing.
Limitation of liability
We stand behind our products and our installations — defects are covered as described in our warranty. Beyond that, to the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising out of an order is limited to the amount you paid us for that order, and we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Nothing in these terms limits rights that consumer-protection law does not allow us to limit.
Using this site
The content of this site — text, images, and pricing tools — is provided for your use in configuring and ordering our products. Don't misuse it: no scraping, no attempting to interfere with the site or its checkout, no misrepresenting who you are when submitting a request.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia — where American Comfort Masters is based — without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
Changes to these terms
If we update these terms, we will post the new version here with a new "last updated" date. The terms in effect when you place an order are the ones that apply to that order.
Questions
If anything here is unclear, contact us before you order — we would rather explain it up front.
